A Tesla Model X owner had a terrifying experience after losing control of the car and crashing into a house. The incident occurred in San Mateo, California, and fortunately, no one was seriously injured. The driver, a 70-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital for routine checks but walked away from the crash. Her 40-year-old daughter, who was also in the car, was unharmed.
The extent of the damage caused by the crash is significant. While the details surrounding the cause of the accident are not yet known, reports suggest that the Model X hit a curb in a residential area before traveling across a yard and driveway, hitting parked cars, crashing through a fence, and somehow flying over a swimming pool before colliding with the house.
Meredith Donato, a resident of the house, received an alert from the security alarm system, initially thinking someone had broken in. She expressed relief that her mother, who normally would have been in the kitchen at that time, was not present during the crash.

According to Jerami Surratt, a public information officer for the San Mateo Police Department, the Tesla’s Autopilot system was not engaged at the time of the accident.
