The celebrated Hollywood star, Sharon Stone, has made it clear that she is not an admirer of the ex-president of the United States, Donald Trump. Her strong sentiments about the former president were expressed during an interview with the German Press Agency in Berlin, where she stated her desire to see Donald Trump behind bars for the remainder of his lifetime. The 65-year-old actress’s comments come in the wake of numerous accusations and legal proceedings currently being faced by Trump, leading her to sternly suggest that he should not be released from prison.
Stone also took the opportunity to voice her harsh critique of the political scene. She expressed her concern about the long-standing trend of politicians suppressing the education of the masses. According to the actress, the lack of sufficient education among the public prevents them from recognizing the manipulative tactics some politicians employ, exploiting and stealing from them without their knowledge.
“Stinginess, greed and lack of integrity”
Stone also lamented the absence of thoughtful and intellectual political leaders who are able to reassure and stabilize the public during times of crisis. She expressed her concern about the rise of narcissistic politicians who thrive on causing chaos, instigating wars, and bringing governments to a standstill. In her view, such actions are driven by personal avarice, greed, and a worrying amount of integrity deficit.
Sharon Stone gained global recognition over three decades ago following her role in the erotic thriller “Basic Instinct”. Since then, she has starred in numerous films including “Casino”, “Catwoman”, and “The Disaster Artist”. Her art exhibition “Totem” made its European debut in Berlin-Mitte on Saturday, with her pieces on display in the Deschler Gallery until May 18th.
Today, the renowned actress will be participating in this year’s “Cinema for Peace” gala in Berlin. Ahead of the gala, Stone and former US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, will be appearing at the Theater des Westens, which will also be screening the Scorsese classic “Casino”.
