The Ministry of Construction has made the decision to extend the registration deadline for the upcoming lottery drawing, known as “Discounted Apartment” (or “Dira ba-anaha”). Originally, the registration period was set to conclude today at midnight. However, the Ministry has now extended this deadline until the 13th of February. This extension effectively grants those who are interested in signing up for a chance to purchase one of the close to 7,000 subsidized apartments available in 16 different localities throughout Israel an additional week to complete their registration.
It is important to note that the registration for the current lottery round commenced on the 26th of December. Since then, approximately 100 thousand individuals have registered their interest. In total, there are 72 different projects offering a combined total of 6,816 apartments that are being awarded across the nation.
To provide a more granular breakdown of the distribution, there are 2 projects offering 114 apartments in Eilat, 9 projects offering 931 apartments in Elad, 11 projects offering 546 apartments in Ashkelon, 1 project offering 63 apartments in Beit Dagan, 6 projects offering 556 apartments in Bnei Aisha, 1 project offering 46 apartments in Jerusalem, and 3 projects offering 187 apartments in Modiin. Furthermore, there are 2 projects with 141 apartments in Ma’alot Tarshiha.
In Petah Tikva, there is 1 project offering 154 apartments, while in Safed, there is 1 project offering 41 apartments. In Kiryat Gat, there are an impressive 21 projects offering a total of 2,666 apartments. Kiryat Malachi has 1 project offering 59 apartments, Kiryat Ekron has 3 projects offering 486 apartments, and Kiryat Shmona has 2 projects offering 87 apartments. Lastly, Rehovot has 7 projects offering 622 apartments, and in Rehasim there is 1 project offering 117 apartments.
