Ex-Husband of Bushra Bibi, Imran Khan’s Wife, Files Lawsuit Against the Couple, Reports Claim

The ex-husband of Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan’s wife has filed a case against them, accusing them of fraudulent marriage and fornication. Khawar Farid Maneka lodged a complaint against Imran Khan, 71, and Bushra Bibi, 49, in the Islamabad East Senior Civil Judge’s court. The charges include common intention, marriage ceremony fraudulently gone through without lawful marriage, and fornication, according to the Dawn newspaper. Khawar Maneka, who was recently granted bail in a corruption case, claimed that Imran Khan had ruined his married life. The court has summoned three witnesses mentioned in the case to appear on November 28. Previously, Khawar Maneka had blamed Imran Khan for destroying his marriage before eventually marrying Bushra Bibi. Imran Khan’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, faced criticism from opposition leaders for the allegations. The petitioner in a similar case withdrew his plea the day before, citing technical reasons.
