New Delhi: Raymond Chairman and Managing Director Gautam Singhania has assured employees and board members that despite his personal troubles, it is “business as usual” in the company. In an internal mail, Singhania announced his separation from his wife Nawaz and stated that he would not comment on media reports about his personal life, as maintaining the dignity of his family is of utmost importance to him.
Singhania emphasized his commitment to the smooth functioning of the company and its business, stating, “Even in these difficult times for me, I assure you that at Raymond, it is business as usual.” He also highlighted the company’s recent achievements, including significant growth in the engineering business and the acquisition of Maini Precision Products Ltd.
Despite the challenges in his personal life, Singhania expressed his determination to create value for shareholders and ensure the interests of employees, customers, and other stakeholders. A spokesperson for Raymond confirmed that the mail was sent by Singhania to the company’s employees and board members.
Singhania, a billionaire industrialist with a reported net worth of over Rs 11,000 crore, made the announcement about his separation on X. He described his long-standing relationship with Nawaz and their two children, highlighting their growth and support for each other throughout the years.
