Mumbai Police Arrests Man for Repeatedly Raping Mexican DJ Met Online
A 35-year-old man has been arrested by the Mumbai police for allegedly raping a 31-year-old Mexican woman who works as a disc jockey (DJ). The arrest was made on Friday after the victim filed a complaint against the accused last week, according to an official from the Bandra police station.
According to the complaint, the accused, who is also a DJ, has been raping the woman since 2019. The victim currently resides in Mumbai, and the accused is her manager.
“The woman stated in her complaint that she met the accused through social media in 2017. He allegedly sexually assaulted her at his residence in Bandra in July 2019, and since then, he has raped her multiple times,” explained the police official.
The woman further revealed that the accused would coerce her into complying with his sexual demands by threatening to terminate her assignments. Additionally, he allegedly blackmailed her using intimate pictures of her.
The victim also disclosed that despite the accused getting married to another woman in 2020, he continued to send her inappropriate messages and make sexual requests.
