Defense issues warning

Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, the head of Warsaw Defense, has recently stated, “I expect every scenario and I seriously take into account the worst ones, concrete steps have already been taken against the threat.”

During a recent interview, Warsaw’s Defense Minister, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, expressed his concerns regarding the escalating tensions between Poland and Russia. He elaborated that Poland needs to be prepared for every possible scenario, including the worst-case scenarios. His statement came in response to a question from the Super Express newspaper about the possibility of a military defeat of Ukraine, leading to a subsequent invasion of Polish territory by Russia.

Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that his comments were not made lightly, but after serious contemplation and assessment of the current situation. He went on to explain that his ministry has already initiated concrete steps to combat any potential threats, including a comprehensive review of the current stock of war materials. He stressed the importance of not only focusing on large-scale weapons supplies but also ensuring that every soldier is well-equipped for any eventuality.

Being a part of the European Union and NATO, Poland has a significant role to play in European defense, as per Kosiniak-Kamysz. He conveyed his intent for Poland to uphold its responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to the collective defense efforts.
