Athletico Makes Double Debut in Draw with Operário

In the recent game between Athletico and Operário, which took place at Ligga Arena during the ninth round of the Campeonato Paranaense, two new players made their debut for Athletico. The game, which ended in a 0-0 draw, saw the debut of Felipinho and Lucas DiYorio, who have recently joined the team as reinforcements.

Felipinho, a former member of Ponte Preta, was officially announced as part of the team on Wednesday (14) and had an impressive performance under coach Osorio. The left-handed player took a position on the left side of the midfield and demonstrated a strong performance.

The 22-year-old Felipinho showed commendable skills with successful tackles and almost assisted two goals. His performance was well-received by the audience. Towards the end of the game, he was replaced by Vinicius Kauê.

In a press conference following the draw, Felipinho expressed satisfaction with his debut. “I believe it was a good debut individually. I’m arriving now, adapting to coach Osório’s work and getting to know my teammates. We still have a lot to improve, but I’m very happy with the debut,” he said.

The other debutant, Lucas DiYorio, was listed to play against Londrina, but his participation was delayed due to pending regularization in the CBF’s Daily Information Bulletin (BID). The former Pachuca player was registered on Wednesday (14) and debuted wearing an Athletico shirt.

Lucas DiYorio’s performance was more subdued. His initial shot went over the mark and he had another opportunity due to an error by Operário’s defense, but his shot from outside the area was off-target. He was replaced by Jader in the second half.

Both Felipinho and Lucas DiYorio are likely to play in the upcoming Atletiba classic under coach Osorio. The game between Athletico and Coritiba is scheduled for Sunday (18) at 6:30 pm, at Couto Pereira, marking the 10th round of Paranaense.
