The intention here is to expand the company’s data centers whilst also providing training for developers in the field of artificial intelligence.
Microsoft, a leader in the software industry, has announced a plan to invest an impressive total of 3.2 billion euros in Germany. This substantial investment is primarily targeted towards the development of artificial intelligence technologies.
The company aims to enhance its data centers and focus on the training and development of artificial intelligence developers, as stated by the company’s vice president and vice chairman of the board, Brad Smith.
Smith points out that Germany has managed to position itself at the cutting edge of technology, particularly regarding the development of applications powered by artificial intelligence. He acknowledges that the country currently faces a shortage of skilled workers in this field. However, he is optimistic about the potential within various sectors including the engineering industry, the automotive industry, the pharmaceutical industry, and financial services.
The announcement was made at an event where Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz was present. He expressed his appreciation of the investment, highlighting it as a testament to the attractiveness and interest that Germany holds as an investment destination.
