Defense Ministry Transfers Reservist Entrepreneurs’ Compensation to Tax Department

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has made a public announcement stating that entrepreneurs who are also military reservists will receive financial compensation from the Property Tax Fund at the Tax Administration. This compensation is being provided to offset the loss they experienced in their businesses due to their military reservist service.

This announcement serves as a reminder of a previous decision that was made. In this decision, it was agreed that reservists would be entitled to full compensation for any damages their businesses suffered. This compensation plan was formulated to be similar to the one offered to businesses that are within a 7-kilometer zone from the Gaza Strip. The funds for this compensation were to be distributed through the Ministry of Defense’s reservists relief fund.

However, it is important to note that the specifics of how the compensation will be calculated have not yet been agreed upon. Due to this, reservist entrepreneurs are currently unable to submit a request for compensation payment. This is a matter that still needs to be resolved to ensure that these entrepreneurs are compensated in a fair and timely manner.
