Insiders speculate the Houthis may have accidentally attacked aid freighters
Any representatives of the Houthis were not immediately available for comments. As per the US Central Command, the Sea Champion has previously delivered humanitarian aid to Yemen on eleven different occasions over the past five years.
US Central Command stated that one of the missiles exploded near the ship, causing minor damage. The freighter was transporting humanitarian aid supplies along the Road to Aden in Yemen. An insider has suggested that the attack was likely unintentional.
