Trump and Biden Triumph in Michigan Primaries as Predicted

The process of primary elections is ongoing in the United States. The most recent state to hold these elections was Michigan, where the Republican Party and the Democratic Party both organized their respective primaries.

The voting concluded on Tuesday, ending at nine in the evening local time (U.S. Eastern time). For reference, this was four in the morning on Wednesday in Finnish local time.

Just a few minutes after four in the morning, major U.S. media outlets, including CNN and The New York Times, declared that Donald Trump had won the Republican primary, while Joe Biden had won for the Democrats.

Neither of these victories comes as a surprise to the public.

When it comes to the Republican presidential candidate race, Nikki Haley has also been running alongside former President Trump. Despite her losses, she has not given up. Besides Michigan, Trump has also won primaries in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, the U.S. Virgin Islands and South Carolina, which happens to be Haley’s home state.

With these victories, Trump’s selection as the Republican presidential candidate is practically a certainty.

As for the Democrats, current President Joe Biden is almost certainly going to be the nominee, as he is currently the only candidate representing the party.

The most significant day in the primary season, often referred to as Super Tuesday, will be on March 5th. On this day, primaries will be conducted in 15 states all across the country.

The U.S. presidential election is set to take place on November 5th.
