Vladimir Vardanyan Welcomes Restoration of Negotiations Between Azerbaijan and Armenia

In a recent briefing, Vladimir Vardanyan, a deputy of the “Civil Agreement” faction of the National Assembly, voiced his support for the resumption of negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Vardanyan expressed the importance of these talks and was optimistic about the impact they would have on developing future diplomatic processes.

Vardanyan further emphasized the significance of these discussions, referring specifically to the negotiations in Munich between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, as well as the talks in Berlin between the foreign ministers of the two countries, Ararat Mirzoyan from Armenia and Jeyhun Bayramov from Azerbaijan. He viewed the continuation of these meetings as a positive sign for future relations between the two nations.

The latest talks between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan took place in Berlin two days ago. These discussions were preceded by a three-way meeting in Munich, which involved the heads of the two countries and Germany.

Following the Berlin meetings, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia released an official statement. In it, they revealed that Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov had discussed the viewpoints on the draft bilateral agreement titled “on establishment of peace and interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan”. The statement also confirmed that both parties had reached a mutual agreement to continue negotiations on unresolved issues. This is a promising step towards peace and improved interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
