Our team conducts thorough testing of every phone in real-world scenarios, focusing on various aspects such as its features, design, performance, cameras, battery life, and overall value. We provide an initial review based on these tests and update it periodically whenever there are new software updates or when comparing it to new phones from competitors like Apple, Samsung, Google, and OnePlus.
In terms of photography, we capture pictures and videos in different settings and lighting conditions to evaluate the camera performance. We also try out any new camera modes introduced by the phone, such as Action mode or the Unblur photo tool.
Battery life is an important factor, so we assess how long a phone lasts during regular use and also during specific activities like video calls, media streaming, and gaming. We conduct a video playback test to measure the pure battery life of the phone.
To measure performance, we utilize benchmarking apps and also rely on our own experiences using the phone. We pay attention to graphics and animations, ensuring that they are smooth and free from lag or stutter. We also evaluate the speed at which the phone switches between horizontal and vertical orientations, as well as how quickly the camera app opens and is ready for use.
In addition, we perform processor-heavy tasks like photo editing, video exporting, and gaming to assess the phone’s capabilities. We also consider whether a newer version of a phone offers enough features to justify an upgrade from older models.
