Pitbull Attack: Delhi Woman Bitten by Neighbour’s Unleashed Dog

A woman in Delhi was bitten multiple times after she confronted her neighbor for allowing his dog to defecate in front of her door. The incident occurred in Swaroop Nagar, where the woman, Riya Devi, had been noticing the man’s pitbull defecating in front of her house for several days. On Friday morning, after seeing it happen again on her CCTV camera feed, she confronted the man, leading to an argument between them. Riya Devi claimed that the man unleashed the dog on her to intimidate her, resulting in her being bitten five times on her hands and legs. Fortunately, neighbors came to her rescue and the entire incident was captured on CCTV footage.

Riya Devi expressed her fear, stating that she has been too scared to leave her house since the incident occurred. She also mentioned that the dog is allowed to roam freely, causing fear among all the neighbors. Her husband added that the neighbor and his family have a history of conflicts, including arguments over other issues like a blocked drain.

The Swaroop Nagar Police Station has registered a case based on the CCTV footage and initiated an investigation. An official from the station confirmed that a complaint had been filed and they are currently looking into the matter.

The incident highlights the need for responsible pet ownership and respectful behavior towards neighbors. Allowing dogs to defecate in public areas is not only unhygienic but can also lead to conflicts and potential harm to others. Authorities will likely take appropriate action once the investigation is complete.
