Rahul Gandhi Visits Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand

Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand: Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress party, offered prayers at the Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand on Sunday, marking the beginning of his three-day visit to the holy place.

Arriving in a private helicopter, Gandhi was warmly welcomed by the temple’s priests and Congress workers. He shared his experience on Facebook, stating, “Today, I visited Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand, had darshan, and worshipped. Har Har Mahadev.” Along with his post, he shared pictures of his visit to the temple.

As part of his visit, Gandhi participated in the evening “aarti” at the shrine and also offered tea to the pilgrims as a part of “chai sewa,” according to the Kedarnath temple authorities.

Sources revealed that Gandhi will be staying at Kedarnath for three days. He is expected to engage in “sewa” (service) at the shrine after spending the night there. This visit is a part of his extended Bharat Jodo Yatra, through which he aims to connect with people across the country. Gandhi had previously visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar and also performed “sewa” there. He has also undertaken the Kailash Yatra.

While campaigning for the upcoming assembly elections, Rahul Gandhi addressed a poll rally in Chhattisgarh on Saturday. It is noteworthy that this news article has been published without any editing by NDTV staff and is sourced from a syndicated feed.
