On February 14, 2000, nine-year-old Asha Degree vanished from her home in Shelby, North Carolina. She packed her book bag and left in the early morning for unknown reasons. Several motorists reported seeing her walking down NC Highway 18, but when one driver attempted to approach her, she fled into the woods and hasn’t been seen since. In 2001, her bag was discovered buried at a construction site, still packed and wrapped in a plastic bag. Despite this clue, there is no other information about what happened to Asha or her whereabouts.

2. The Overlooked Murder of Georgia Moses
In August 1997, 12-year-old Georgia Moses was brutally murdered in Santa Rosa, California. She had left a gas station with an unidentified man, and her decomposing body was found a week later off Highway 101.
