Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib Linked to Covert Facebook Group Promoting Hamas Terrorist Propaganda

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a Michigan Democrat, has been discovered to be a member of a secret Facebook group called the Palestinian American Congress, where members have been glorifying Hamas in its conflict with Israel. The group, founded by Maher Abdel-qader, who has ties to Tlaib and other liberal politicians, has faced criticism in the past for its antisemitic posts, including questioning the Holocaust. Fox News Digital gained access to the hidden group, which is not searchable on Facebook.

The Palestinian American Congress group has featured pro-Hamas posts following the deadly attack on Israel in October. One member posted a message accompanied by a picture of an elderly Israeli woman and a Hamas fighter holding her captive, stating, “We don’t want to throw you in the sea…we want you to ride it back from where you came.” Another member wrote about the “achievements” of the “resistance in Northern occupied Palestine,” including the deaths of Israeli soldiers, alongside a picture of a Hamas fighter.

Several members of the group have also posted pro-Hamas messages and images prior to the attacks. Tlaib has been a member of the group for six years and participated in discussions during her 2018 congressional campaign. In 2019, she faced backlash after her membership and the group’s antisemitic posts were exposed.

Tlaib, the only Palestinian American in Congress, has been scrutinized for her comments following Hamas’ invasion and the subsequent conflict. The House of Representatives recently voted to censure her in a 234-188 vote, publicly rebuking her anti-Israel remarks. Tlaib’s office did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Abdel-qader, the founder of the Palestinian American Congress group, has a history of promoting antisemitic conspiracy theories. He has been involved in fundraising events with Tlaib and has appeared in pictures with her on social media. He has also shown support for other progressive politicians, including Cori Bush and has campaigned with Democrats such as Eric Adams and Keith Ellison.

Abdel-qader has attended pro-Palestinian protests in the United States and posted anti-Israel messages on his Facebook page. In one post, he falsely claimed that Israeli airstrikes had killed over 500 people at Ahli Arab Hospital, when in reality, a failed rocket launch by Palestinians had caused the damage.

Abdel-qader did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
