Kareena Kapoor faced some uncomfortable questions from host Karan Johar on the latest episode of his show “Koffee With Karan 8”. Karan asked Kareena why she didn’t attend the party celebrating the success of “Gadar 2” earlier this year, which was one of Bollywood’s highest-grossing films starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, with whom Kareena has a history. The party was attended by top industry stars, including Shah Rukh Khan. Kareena claimed she wasn’t in town, but Karan disputed this. He also asked her about “Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai”, the film that was initially supposed to be her debut but ended up being Ameesha’s. Kareena responded by saying that films are destiny and everyone went on to do their best. When asked if she had messaged Sunny Deol or Ameesha Patel to congratulate them on the success of “Gadar 2”, Kareena admitted she hadn’t but praised the film. She also revealed that she hadn’t watched it yet but expressed her interest in doing so. “Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai” was released in 2000 and was originally meant to star Kareena, but she exited the project and made her debut in “Refugee” instead. Earlier this year, Ameesha Patel claimed that Kareena was asked to leave the film by director Rakesh Roshan due to differences. Kareena Kapoor’s last project was her well-received digital debut in “Jaane Jaan”.
