A man was apprehended by authorities after being discovered with a substantial quantity of heroin at Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun, Monroe County. The incident unfolded on November 12 at approximately 3:40 p.m. when Pocono Township Police Department received a call regarding an extremely intoxicated individual at the lodge. Upon arriving at the scene, officers encountered 33-year-old Eric Gentile from Portage, who was visibly under the influence and in possession of a significant amount of heroin, as well as suspected cocaine. Security personnel at Great Wolf Lodge informed investigators that Gentile had allegedly attempted to dispose of hypodermic needles in a bathroom trash bin. Subsequently, Gentile was taken into custody and transferred to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, where he now faces charges of drug possession and public drunkenness.
