The elite special forces belonging to the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan recently conducted routine military exercises despite the harsh, frosty conditions, as reported by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan’s press service. These military operations were carried out in an environment marked by extreme cold, presenting a unique set of challenges for the special forces.
“During these strategic exercises, for the first time, the logistical aspects of warfare were thoroughly tested. These included the provision of supplies, equipment, and food that are necessary for the personnel’s activities in snowy weather and difficult terrains. The exercises also aimed at assessing the capabilities of different units and their potential for deployment under severe winter conditions,” read the official message.
The special forces of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan didn’t limit their operations to just this. They also embarked on a separate set of military exercises on Thursday. These exercises focused on the exploration of the terrain and making tactical relocations in a mountainous zone under severe cold conditions. These operations were designed to test the forces’ ability to adapt to changing landscapes and severe weather conditions, preparing them for a broad spectrum of possible combat scenarios.
