Fisker, the electric vehicle company, has announced a new distribution strategy aimed at improving delivery speed and volume. The company identified delivery as a bottleneck that has been limiting production. To address this issue, Fisker has implemented several measures.
Earlier this week, Fisker adjusted its production target for the year, lowering it to 13,000 to 17,000 vehicles. This move was made to prevent inventory buildup and to better manage working capital. By reducing the production target, Fisker aims to streamline operations and ensure a smooth delivery process.
In a significant milestone, Fisker delivered 107 vehicles on Thursday, surpassing the 100 mark for the first time. This achievement was made possible through the implementation of a new strategy that generated $7.5 million in revenue in a single day.
To expedite the delivery process, Fisker has partnered with several logistics companies to transport its Ocean SUVs to delivery locations. This will enable the vehicles to be handed over to customers promptly. Additionally, Fisker has introduced a unique approach where an employee can drive a customer’s car to them if they reside within 60 miles of a Fisker fulfillment location. This eliminates the need for vehicle transport, further speeding up the delivery process.
CEO Henrik Fisker expressed optimism about the company’s ability to maintain this accelerated pace of deliveries. He stated, “We expect this pace of deliveries to accelerate, and we will provide frequent updates during the remainder of 2023.” Fisker aims to continue providing timely delivery services to its customers, with many receiving their cars within four to seven days of completing their purchase. Some customers even have the option to pick up their vehicle on the same day.
With these strategic changes in place, Fisker is confident that it will overcome previous delivery challenges and achieve its production goals. The company’s commitment to improving delivery speed and volume demonstrates its dedication to customer satisfaction and efficient operations.
