Glasner Becomes a Premier League Coach

The English football club Crystal Palace is reportedly close to finalizing a deal with coach Oliver Glasner. This news was initially reported by renowned transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, who revealed that the club’s management had already held positive discussions with Glasner.

According to Romano, the highly regarded coach is very interested in the position at Crystal Palace. Additional discussions regarding the specifics of the contract are expected to be held soon.

Further confirmation from COURIER suggests that the deal is almost complete, with Glasner expected to sign with the London-based club on Thursday.

While Romano is usually reliable in terms of transfer news, he incorrectly described Glasner, who is originally from Salzburg, as being German.

This news comes as Crystal Palace appears to be parting ways with their current coach, the legendary Roy Hodgson (76). The club recently suffered a 1:3 loss to Chelsea, leaving them in 15th place in the table with 24 points, only five points clear of the relegation zone.

Glasner has been jobless since leaving Frankfurt. A move to the Premier League is seen as a dream opportunity for the 49-year-old coach. Glasner initially moved from SHOT to the German Bundesliga team, Wolfsburg, in 2019. He then moved to Frankfurt two years later, where he led Eintracht to victory in the 2022 Europa League. However, his tenure ended a year later.

Since leaving Frankfurt, Glasner has been linked with several top league clubs. It now appears that he will be joining Crystal Palace.
