IDF Discovers Hamas Weapons Concealed Within al-Shifa Hospital

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Wednesday, November 15 that they had discovered weapons, ammunition, and Hamas uniforms in al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City during a raid. IDF spokesman Jonathan Conricus shared a video online, giving a tour of the hospital’s “MRI center,” officially known as the Prince Naif Center for Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology. Conricus pointed out covered security cameras in the hallway as evidence of Hamas activity within the hospital.

Continuing the tour, Conricus showcased “grab bags” containing AK-47s, ammunition, grenades, and militant uniforms in three different locations. He also displayed two bags containing firearms that were allegedly found in a closet in one of the hospital’s corridors. Prior to the raid, the IDF had described al-Shifa Hospital as the main headquarters for Hamas’ terrorist activities. They released a video illustrating underground tunnels and rooms beneath the hospital that Hamas supposedly used to coordinate militant operations.

Conricus expressed his belief that the discoveries were just the “tip of the iceberg.”
