Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the leader of the right-wing group Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, was brutally murdered by a group of men who had tea with him at his house in Jaipur. A shocking video of the incident captured the assailants sitting with Gogamedi moments before opening fire, catching him off guard. The CCTV footage reveals Gogamedi engrossed in his phone when the attackers suddenly stood up and shot him. In a gruesome act, he was shot multiple times at close range, with the final bullet delivered to his head.
The police stated that the attackers spent at least 10 minutes conversing with Gogamedi before carrying out the heinous act. The 20-second clip shows the gunmen relentlessly firing at Gogamedi even after he had stopped moving. Tragically, Gogamedi succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, where he was rushed along with two of his associates who were also wounded in the attack.
The CCTV footage further exposes the unfolding chaos, as one of Gogamedi’s guards attempted to intervene but was met with gunfire. One of the attackers, not visible in the video, was killed during the ensuing crossfire. The remaining two assailants fled the scene on a motorbike stolen from two men they had threatened at gunpoint.
The responsibility for the murder was claimed by a member of the Goldy Brar gang, Rohit Godara Kapurisr, who openly admitted their involvement in a Facebook post. Kapurisr stated that Gogamedi’s support for their enemies prompted the attack. It is important to note that Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi led a different outfit than the Rajput Karni Sena, which gained prominence for their protests against the Bollywood movie ‘Padmaavat.’ Gogamedi had separated from the Karni Sena, then under the leadership of Lokendra Singh Kalvi, in 2015 to form his own organization.
The chilling incident has sent shockwaves throughout the region, highlighting the vulnerability of public figures and the need for enhanced security measures. The police are now working diligently to apprehend the remaining culprits and bring them to justice.
