During a brief speech attended by a select group of journalists, the 81-year-old Democratic President expressed his concerns about global issues. He stated, “We’re stuck with that crazy individual, Putin, and others. However, the existential threat facing humanity is climate change.”
The American President, Joe Biden, used the term “SOB”, an abbreviation for “Son Of a Bitch”. This English term can be translated into Dutch as “smearlap” or “crap”.
Biden had previously referred to his Russian counterpart as a “butcher” and a “war criminal”. He vowed to impose significant sanctions on Russia in response to the death of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny on Friday.
Kremlin’s Response
Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Kremlin, reacted to Biden’s statements, describing them as “scandalous”. He expressed his disappointment, saying, “It’s a huge shame for the United States. If the president of such a nation uses such words, it is scandalous.” He further stated that Biden’s “rude” remarks cannot “hurt” President Putin. Peskov suggested that Biden’s remarks demonstrated “Hollywood cowboy-style behavior” and were made for the sake of national political interest.
