Despite facing challenges from nature, the government is determined to safely rescue the 41 workers trapped inside a tunnel in Uttarakhand, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at a religious event in Hyderabad, PM Modi expressed his prayers for the workers’ safe evacuation and assured that continuous efforts are being made to bring them out as soon as possible.
Acknowledging the difficulties posed by nature, PM Modi emphasized the need for alertness in completing the relief and rescue operation. He stated that the government and all agencies involved are working tirelessly to ensure the safe retrieval of the trapped workers. PM Modi called for prayers and support for the workers, highlighting the determination to overcome the challenges faced during the operation.
The Prime Minister also addressed the families of the workers, urging them to stay strong and assuring them that the entire country stands by them. It has been 15 days since the workers became trapped in the Silkyara tunnel due to a collapse on November 12. The rescue operation faced delays due to drilling obstacles but is now in progress.
