Two students have been injured in a school bus accident that took place in Pune this morning. The incident occurred when the bus, carrying several school children, lost control and collided with a tree on the roadside, as captured by CCTV footage.
In addition to the students, a member of the school staff was also injured in the accident, which took place in the Wagholi area of Pune. According to the driver, the steering of the bus jammed, causing him to lose control and veer off the road, ultimately crashing into the tree.
The impact of the collision caused the windshield of the bus to detach and knock over a nearby parked motorcycle. The rider, who was sitting close by, quickly fled the scene upon witnessing the bus going out of control.
Fortunately, locals and passersby swiftly came to the aid of those on board the bus, as depicted in the footage. Upon receiving information about the accident, family members of the injured staff and students rushed to the scene and transported them to the hospital.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing, with authorities examining the CCTV footage and gathering statements from witnesses to determine the exact cause of the incident.
