Tesla Cybertruck Continues to Disappoint, Even in Matte Black

According to Elon Musk, production of the Tesla Cybertruck is set to begin before the year ends. However, recent videos showcasing pre-production prototypes, many of which were damaged, suggest that Musk’s statement about Tesla digging its own grave with the Cybertruck may have some truth to it. One such prototype was spotted at a Malibu cars and coffee event over the weekend, as reported by InsideEVs.

Daniel Golson, a friend of Jalopnik and an attendee at the event, had the opportunity to closely examine the Cybertruck, which was being driven by Tesla designer Franz von Holzhausen. Golson’s observations indicate that the matte-black-wrapped Cybertruck is either far from being ready for production or will enter production regardless of its flaws. It is likely that the latter scenario is true. InsideEVs noted the following:

“Yeah, that sounds (and looks) bad. And not because I’m a beta-cuck soy boy who’s jealous of Elon’s wealth. We’re talking legitimately terrible build quality that we haven’t seen on anything but the most egregious of poorly built Teslas in the past. Even the wrap itself appeared to be poorly applied, with plenty of bubbles and several spots where the wrap was already peeling off of the bodywork. Oh, and it looks like visibility is going to be a total nightmare.”

Aside from these concerns, Golson encountered other issues with the Cybertruck, which can be found in the full article on InsideEVs.
