Threads App Tests Function for Saving Draft Posts and Taking Photos

Meta-owned microblogging social network, Threads, has announced that it has initiated a testing phase for a new feature that would allow users to save draft posts. This function would enable users to halt their work in progress, store it as a draft, and then subsequently continue editing at a later time, before finally publishing the completed post.

Additionally, Threads is also testing another feature that would allow users to capture photos directly from the application, thereby making it easier for users to share images in real time. This is an attempt by the social network to augment the user experience on the platform by introducing features that are currently available on other popular social networks.

Threads is also considering implementing features that would allow users to view trending topics on the social network. This would give users the ability to see what topics are being talked about in real-time, thereby helping them to stay updated with the latest trends and discussions.

The CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, in a recent update on his Threads profile, announced that they have started testing these new features. In his post, he shared a photo of a snowy landscape which he revealed was captured using the new camera feature they are currently testing on the platform.

According to information gathered by The Verge, the Threads camera function will allow users to access their smartphone’s camera directly from the app’s composer, which means they won’t have to upload photos from their gallery. However, it should be noted that the option to record videos directly from the application is not yet available.

On the other hand, the draft saving feature would allow users to save a post that they’re working on for later editing. In order to save a post as a draft, users would simply need to slide their finger down the screen on the post they’re working on. Once a post has been saved as a draft, a notification will appear confirming that the post has been saved.

It is important to note that these two features are currently being tested on a global scale, but only with a limited number of users.
