Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar Calls Mahatma Gandhi the Great Soul of the Last Century and PM Narendra Modi the Icon of this Century

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar has hailed Mahatma Gandhi as the ‘mahapurush’ (great soul) of the last century and referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the ‘yugpurush’ (hero of the era) of this century. Speaking at the birth anniversary celebrations of Jain mystic and philosopher Shrimad Rajchandraji, Dhankar praised Gandhi for leading India to freedom from British rule through satyagraha and non-violence. He also commended Modi for taking India on a path of progress.

Dhankar further highlighted the commonality between Gandhi and Modi in their reverence for Shrimad Rajchandraji. He unveiled a mural of the philosopher, who played a crucial role in guiding Gandhi’s spiritual journey. Dhankar emphasized the need to respect and uphold the teachings of Shrimad Rajchandraji.

During his speech, Dhankar expressed concern over forces that oppose the growth of the nation and their tendency to undermine positive developments. He emphasized the importance of preventing such forces from obstructing the progress of the country.

The Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, a global movement that aims to promote spiritual growth and benefit society, organized the event. Dhankar was honored with the Janakalyan Hitaishi award for his contributions to social upliftment.

The event also saw the announcement of two mega multispecialty medical camps in Maharashtra and Rajasthan, where Dhankar hails from. These camps aim to provide medical assistance to the underprivileged in those regions.

In response to Dhankar’s remarks, Bahujan Samaj Party MP Danish Ali questioned the Vice President on social media, asking about the new era that has supposedly begun by allowing a member of the Prime Minister’s party to abuse a certain community.
