Video captures border guards successfully neutralizing Russian invaders near Kupyansk-Lyman

Ukraine’s Steel Border Assault Brigade emerged victorious in a clash with Russian infantry near Kupyansk-Lyman, as captured in a video shared on Facebook by Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service on November 12. The invading forces were effectively neutralized using mortars and MK-19 grenade launchers. Ukraine’s General Staff had previously reported unsuccessful Russian assault operations near Synkivka and Ivanivka in Kharkiv Oblast, as well as Stelmakhivka and Nadiya in Luhansk Oblast.

In the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled seven attacks, while in the Lyman sector, they countered enemy aviation-supported assault operations near the Serebryansky forest in Luhansk Oblast. The battle near Kupyansk-Lyman resulted in the death of 198 invading Russians, with eight tanks and four armored vehicles destroyed.

The sector also witnessed a significant increase in Russian shelling, with 808 incidents recorded during the day, according to Volodymyr Fityo, spokesperson for Ground Forces Command. Additionally, there were 13 enemy assaults and 12 airstrikes, involving fire support helicopters, attack and bomber aircraft, as well as 12 kamikaze drones.
