25-Year-Old Man Murders Five Family Members with an Ax in Baku

In a shocking incident that transpired in Baku, the esteemed capital city of Azerbaijan, a young man named Ahmed Ahmedov, aged 25, committed the horrifying act of murdering his own family members. The victims of this horrifying act were his father, Mehman Ahmedov, his mother, Bayke Ahmedova, and his younger brother who was merely a child, having been born in 2015. However, the name of this young child has not been disclosed in the report.

As the investigation into this dreadful incident progressed, it was revealed that the list of victims didn’t just stop at his immediate family. Prior to the killing of his parents and his younger brother, Ahmedov had also cruelly taken the lives of his sister, Elmira Ahmedova, and her innocent 5-year-old daughter in a chillingly similar manner.

In the aftermath of these brutal acts, Ahmedov was swiftly apprehended by law enforcement and placed under arrest. The murders took place in the Khata district of Baku, specifically, at 16:00 local time.

The victims of this heinous crime were not just any ordinary citizens. The slain mother, Bayke Ahmedova, was a respected figure in the community, serving as the director of secondary school No. 59, located in the very same Khata region.

The reasons behind these gruesome murders are still shrouded in mystery. As of now, there is no definitive answer as to why Ahmedov, at the tender age of 25, would resort to such violent measures against his own family. However, according to a few accounts from neighbors, it appears that there may have been some form of dispute within the family that possibly led to these tragic events.

The location of the murders has been identified as house No. 29 on General Shikhlinsky street, situated in the Khata district of the capital. The crime was reported by the neighbors who promptly alerted the law enforcement officers.

A criminal case has now been initiated on charges of intentional murder against Ahmedov, and the investigation continues to proceed.

It is worth noting that this is not the only crime that has recently occurred in the capital of Azerbaijan. On February 13, another disturbing incident took place where a man named Rovshan Guliyev brutally stabbed and killed his ex-wife, Sevinj Ibrahimova, in the Narimanov district. He too was subsequently arrested.
