The recent attempt by Russian invaders to advance on the Vuhledar front in Ukraine has been successfully thwarted by the soldiers of Ukraine’s Black Zaporizhzhyans’ 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, according to a military blogger. Serhiy Sternenko, a volunteer and blogger, shared striking photographs that showcased the Ukrainian unit obliterating enemy equipment.
Sternenko revealed that the enemy equipment included tanks with mine-clearing trawls, which were using the same tactics as in the early days of the advance on Avdiivka. Despite the enemy deploying smaller forces, the Ukrainian military responded with artillery, anti-tank missiles, and FPV drones to eliminate the Russian equipment.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the attempted advance on November 2 and stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had successfully repelled the attack, inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
It is worth noting that this is not the first defeat suffered by Russia’s forces in the Vuhledar region. In March, they lost two battalions in a failed attack on the town.
The Ukrainian soldiers’ resolute defense and successful repulsion of the Russian invaders’ advance highlight their determination and commitment to protecting their homeland.
