2-Year-Old American Girl Breaks Record, Joins Mensa as Youngest Member

A 2-year-old girl from Crestwood, Kentucky, United States, has made history by becoming the youngest-ever member of Mensa, the high-IQ society. Isla McNabb’s exceptional intelligence has been confirmed by Guinness World Records, as she scored in the 99th percentile for her age group on the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales. Despite her young age, Isla has demonstrated cognitive abilities that surpass expectations and show great potential for the future.

Mensa International is the largest and oldest high-IQ society in the world, with over 140,000 members in more than 100 countries. To become a member, individuals must score at or above the 98th percentile on a standardized IQ test, putting them in the top 2% of the population in terms of intelligence.

According to Guinness World Records, Isla’s parents noticed her remarkable focus from a very young age. Although they recognized her brightness, they didn’t realize the extent of her abilities until she started learning. At just one year old, Isla began learning her colors, numbers, and the alphabet.

“On her second birthday, Isla received an erasable writing tablet from her aunt Crystal,” said Isla’s father, Jason McNabb. “I wrote the word ‘red,’ and to our amazement, Isla effortlessly read it. She continued to confidently read words like ‘blue,’ ‘yellow,’ ‘cat,’ and ‘dog.’ We even found multicolored toy letters spelling out words like ‘chair’ and ‘sofa’ strategically placed around the house. Isla’s literacy skills at such a young age left us in awe.”

Isla’s talents caught the attention of a psychologist who specializes in gifted children. Despite not usually testing children as young as two, the psychologist made an exception after hearing about Isla’s abilities.
