Former WWE Star Tammy ‘Sunny’ Sytch Sentenced to 17 Years in Prison Following Deadly Car Collision

Former WWE star Tammy Sytch, popularly known as Sunny, has been sentenced to more than 17 years in prison after being found guilty of causing a fatal car accident. The incident, which occurred in March 2022, resulted in the death of 75-year-old Julian Lasseter. Sytch pleaded no contest to the charges brought against her.

According to police reports, Sytch was driving a Mercedes-Benz when she collided with a stationary Kia at a traffic light. As a result of her actions, Sytch’s driver’s license has been permanently revoked.

During her court appearance, Sytch became emotional and delivered a speech in which she expressed remorse for her actions. She apologized to the victim’s family and acknowledged that her words alone were not sufficient to make amends. Sytch stated that she thinks about the incident every day and vowed to take the necessary steps to ensure that such a tragedy never occurs again.

Despite her emotional plea, the judge handed down a sentence of 17 years in prison. Sytch remained composed as she was escorted out of the courtroom by officials.

The charges Sytch faced included driving under the influence (DUI) causing death, causing death while operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked license, four counts of DUI causing injury, and three counts of DUI causing property damage.
