Ministry of Health Provides Update on Child with Measles in Haifa

The Ministry of Health announced an update on Saturday evening regarding a case of measles in a child living in Haifa. It has been discovered that there exists a link between this child and the two other children who were reported to have contracted measles, as per the information released by the Ministry approximately a week and a half ago.The infected boy had been vaccinated against the measles virus for the very first time, but only after he had been exposed to the other two infected children. He was kept at home during the course of his infectious period, adhering strictly to the guidelines and recommendations put forth by the Ministry of Health. This measure was taken in order to prevent the virus from spreading and infecting more people.
