Located in Velbert, North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), a horrific accident occurred which led to the VW Passat being forcefully impacted and thrown onto the guardrail.
This unfortunate incident took place in the early hours of Saturday morning, resulting in one fatality and leaving two others seriously injured. The police were alerted to the accident through an emergency call, leading them to discover a severely damaged VW Passat GTE on the guardrail at around 4 a.m. Inside the vehicle, they found three occupants.
From the information provided by the police, it was concluded that the passenger seated at the back suffered fatal injuries from the accident. Emergency medical personnel worked to resuscitate the passenger and promptly transported him to the hospital. The driver of the vehicle also sustained serious injuries and was similarly rushed to the hospital for further treatment.
The accident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a left-hand bend, resulting in a crash into the guardrail, as per the police reports.
The investigation of the accident was handed over to experts from the Düsseldorf police.
