Alba Berlin Loses Nerve and Cup Semi-Finals

Israel Gonzalez and his team took a break to strategize during an intense basketball semi-final match against Ulm. Despite the support of their fans, Alba Berlin lost their rhythm in the final stage of the game, resulting in an eight-point lead loss in the last quarter. The team’s performance was criticized by world champion Johannes Thiemann.

Similar to the previous season, Ulm defeated Alba Berlin with a score of 87:79 in the presence of 6,500 spectators. FC Bayern, the host, will be their opponent in the final match.

Trevion Williams, Ulm’s top scorer, scored 25 points in the match.

Both teams had a tough competition. Alba’s world champion, Thiemann, stood out offensively despite Ulm’s aggressive start.

Despite a few setbacks, Alba remained stable under the leadership of coach Israel Gonzalez. The team found alternative solutions even when their best long-distance thrower, Matt Thomas, struggled to get into the game.

However, Berlin lost momentum in the final quarter, failing to score for almost five minutes. Ulm seized this opportunity to take the lead, and Alba Berlin couldn’t recover.
