Unique Trauma Treatment Center Catering to Children, Youth, and Young Adults

In the past few years, there has been a noticeable amplification in the mental strain experienced by children, teenagers, and young adults. This has been particularly exacerbated following the events of October 7th. The rising demand for therapeutic assistance prompted Anush, an Israeli association dedicated to mental health, to establish Eitan. Eitan is an emotional therapy center designed to provide support for children, youth, and young adults within the age range of 10-25.

Eitan is a specialized center with a primary focus on treating trauma, managing bereavement, grief, and anxiety. It offers a psychological emotional response at no cost, fully subsidized without any requirement for diagnosis and referral. Its services are available to anyone grappling with mental distress and in need of support. The center also offers preventative treatment solutions for individuals showing early signs of distress, which may manifest as difficulty sleeping, changes in appetite, withdrawal, or avoidance of social situations.

Comprising a multi-professional staff, the center boasts of specialists skilled in the treatment of children, teenagers, and young adults. The team of experts includes psychologists, psychiatrists, clinical social workers, and therapists of expression and creativity. Each patient is provided with a tailored program to suit their individual conditions. These programs can range from targeted or prolonged individual treatments to group treatments and even include training for parents.

The primary goal of the Eitan Center is to render a professional and empathetic response to young individuals who have experienced trauma. It aims to empower them by providing the necessary tools to effectively handle the emotional difficulties they are facing.

The establishment of the Eitan Center was facilitated with the assistance of the National Insurance Funds, the Jewish Federation of Chicago, and Magebit Britannia.

Dr. Hela Hadas, CEO of the Anush Association, stated, “The inauguration of the Eitan Center for children, teenagers, and young people facing emotional difficulties is significant news in these times. The center was opened at a critical moment when the future generation needs us more than ever. Many of them are struggling with mental health issues, and there is a shortage of therapists and long waiting lines. We are proud to be a beacon of hope in the process and provide a place where they can receive emotional care without the need for a diagnosis and referral, and at no cost. This is part of Anush’s focus on expanding therapy for children and young people in the community and assisting in dealing with the ongoing trauma that has been increasing since October 7.”
