Välimäki, in an impressive display of skill and determination, shares this coveted first position with Jake Knapp from the United States, Matt Wallace from England and Alvaro Ortizin from Mexico. They all boast a commendable score of 11 under par.
Välimäki started the second round of the competition in Mexico from an advantageous position, being in second place.
