A recent leak of the Samsung Galaxy S24 has revealed 360-degree renders of the upcoming phone, suggesting that it will have a flat-edged design instead of the rounded edges seen in previous models. The leak, shared by well-known leaker Steve McFly, shows a rotating render of the alleged Galaxy S24 design. The back of the phone resembles previous Galaxy models, with three vertically aligned rear cameras and no surrounding camera block.
One notable design choice shown in the render is the presence of metal sides, similar to recent iPhones, as opposed to the color-matched sides of the Galaxy S23. However, it is important to note that renders are often based on specifications and documents, and may not accurately represent the final material and color choices made by Samsung.
The render also reveals the inclusion of an ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna on the side of the phone, suggesting that it will be visible on the outside of the Galaxy S24 rather than being hidden within the device, as seen in previous Galaxy handsets.
In terms of dimensions, the Galaxy S24 is expected to be very similar to its predecessor, with measurements of 147 x 70.5 x 7.6 mm compared to the Galaxy S23’s dimensions of 146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6 mm. The only other speculated specification is a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is also expected to be unchanged from the previous model.
Leaked renders for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus, shared in partnership with GizNext, show a similar design to the regular S24, including the metallic finish on the side frame. The dimensions of the S24 Plus are rumored to be 158.5 x 75.9 x 7.75mm, which are nearly identical to last year’s S23 Plus measurements of 157.7 x 76.2 x 7.6 mm.
