Air Force pilots successfully executed strikes on Kerch, potentially causing the sinking of one of the Russian Federation’s most advanced ships in the Black Sea Fleet. The ship had the capability to carry Kalibr cruise missiles, according to Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, the Air Force Commander. The confirmation of this development came directly from Oleshchuk himself.
Oleshchuk expressed his hope that another vessel had been following the fate of the Moskva, a Russian cruiser destroyed in April 2022. While awaiting official confirmation of the results, Oleshchuk expressed his gratitude to the pilots of the Air Force’s tactical aviation for their successful cruise missile strikes on the Zaliv shipbuilding yard in Kerch. The shipyard housed one of the most advanced vessels in the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, serving as a carrier for Kalibr cruise missiles.
Furthermore, Oleshchuk extended his appreciation to the anti-aircraft gunners who managed to shoot down three Iskander-K missiles on the evening of November 4th. This incident occurred amidst explosions heard in the annexed Crimea, prompting an air-raid warning.
