Pakistani TikTok Star Aliza Seher Sparks Controversy with Viral Video

Pakistani TikTok star Aliza Seher has become embroiled in a social media controversy after a private video of her was leaked and went viral. Seher, who describes herself as a “simple girl from a small village in Punjab,” has been creating videos about rural life since 2017, focusing on topics such as cooking, household work, the environment, and farming. She has a significant following on YouTube, with 1.4 million subscribers and some videos reaching 14 million views. Seher also has over 400,000 followers on Instagram.

In a four-minute-long YouTube video, Seher addressed the leaked video case, expressing her frustration and helplessness. She claimed that she received support from the Cybercrime department in Multan, but no action has been taken against the person responsible for uploading the video. Seher accused someone from Qatar of spreading the video and thanked those who have stood by her and offered their support. She also revealed that she has been blackmailed since joining YouTube, but continued her work due to her family’s support.

This incident is not the first of its kind in Pakistan. In September, a couple from Punjab, known for selling kulhad pizza, found themselves in a similar controversy when a video allegedly featuring them in a compromising position surfaced online. The couple, Sehaj Arora and his wife, denied the authenticity of the video and filed a police complaint. The woman who blackmailed them over the viral clip was subsequently arrested, and they accused a YouTuber named Karan Dutta of spreading the fake video. Dutta, however, denied any wrongdoing.

The controversies surrounding Seher and the kulhad pizza couple highlight the challenges faced by internet personalities in Pakistan. Despite receiving support from authorities, the lack of concrete action against those responsible for spreading the videos remains a concern. Both Seher and the pizza couple have expressed their gratitude to their supporters and emphasized the impact these incidents have had on their lives and families.
