James Comer, Just Like Joe Biden, Displays Hypocrisy in Recent Actions

James Comer, a Kentucky Republican, has been vocal in accusing President Joe Biden of corruption, specifically referring to a $200,000 loan given by Biden to his brother James Biden. However, a recent report has revealed that Comer himself has engaged in similar financial transactions.

Comer has persistently accused Biden of corruption without providing any concrete evidence to support his claims. In October, he made headlines by claiming that Biden had given his brother a $200,000 loan, suggesting it was evidence of questionable business practices within the Biden family. However, multiple news outlets, including conservative-leaning ones, have found evidence to the contrary. Furthermore, the loan was made in 2018 when Biden was not in office or running for president.

A report by The Daily Beast highlights the hypocrisy in Comer’s accusations by shedding light on his own financial transactions. It reveals that Comer also lent his brother $200,000, but in a questionable manner. Comer and his brother co-own a farming business, which they inherited from their late father. Over the years, they have engaged in multiple land swaps. One such exchange occurred after their father’s death in January 2019. Chad Comer bought out his brother’s half of a property for $100,000, but five months later, James and his wife repurchased the property for $218,000, resulting in Chad Comer earning an unexplained $18,000 profit.

In another exchange, Comer gifted his brother his share of two inherited pieces of land valued at $175,000, with the transaction cost being only $1. Subsequently, Comer’s brother applied for a tax break and then gifted Comer a more valuable piece of land in return.

Comer’s involvement in agriculture oversight is also noteworthy. During his time in Congress, he held important roles in agricultural committees and even negotiated the Farm Bill, which aimed to increase federal support for American farmers. However, after moving his business away from farming, Comer’s focus shifted away from agriculture oversight.

The report by The Beast also raises concerns about Comer’s business ventures. It found that Comer runs multiple businesses that do not appear to exist on paper. The company he co-owned with his father and brother, Comer Land & Cattle, has no business filings in Kentucky. Additionally, no official records were found for his personal agriculture company, James Comer Jr. Farms. Furthermore, when Comer purchased land from his brother, the deal involved a shell company called Farm Team Properties, LLC, owned by Comer and his wife.

The report also questions the significant increase in value of Comer’s land management and real estate speculation company, which he listed on his financial disclosure statements. The Beast found no clear explanation for the substantial increase in value between the years.

In light of these revelations, Comer’s accusations against Biden appear hollow and hypocritical. It suggests that the wrong politician is being investigated for alleged “shady” business dealings.
