K Kavitha Opens Up About Family’s Resilience Amidst Stress from Delhi Excise Case Probe

K Kavitha, a leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), recently spoke about the difficulties her family faces whenever she is summoned by the probe agency in the Delhi excise policy case. Being a normal middle-class family, it becomes hard for them when one of their family members is missing for a certain period of time. Kavitha expressed that everyone in her family was anxious and worried about the situation.

During the conversation, Kavitha also touched upon her choice of clothing, particularly her preference for wearing sarees. She explained that as a politician, it is her responsibility to dress a certain way to make people feel that she is one among them and approachable. By dressing in a manner similar to any person on the street, she believes that people feel comfortable approaching her and engaging in conversations.

Kavitha, who is the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, acknowledged that she is still in the process of growing as a politician. She mentioned that there is still time before her party considers her a candidate to lead the state. She emphasized that she is working her way up within the party and still has more to learn and accomplish before being deemed eligible for the position of Chief Minister.

When asked about politicians she admires and learns from, Kavitha mentioned Pinarayi Vijayan and Ashok Gehlot. She looks up to them and tries to gain insights from their political experiences.

In the previous Assembly elections held in 2018, the BRS secured a significant victory by winning 88 out of 119 seats, capturing 47.4 percent of the total vote share.
