Fox News host Sean Hannity recently conducted an interview with Senator Markwayne Mullin, during which they discussed Mullin’s challenge to labor union leader Sean O’Brien for a physical altercation. Mullin, a former MMA fighter, criticized O’Brien for mocking him on social media and urged him to “stand up” and fight. Hannity expressed his support for Mullin’s actions, suggesting that his popularity would increase as a result. He also reminisced about his own childhood, where fistfights were a common occurrence during sports activities, questioning why such behavior is now frowned upon. Mullin attributed it to political correctness, emphasizing that individuals must be cautious about others’ feelings while the left can say whatever they please. In response, Hannity applauded Mullin’s response, claiming that any other reaction would have been cowardly. Mullin defended his actions as a representation of Oklahoma values and stated that he would have faced criticism from his constituents had he not challenged O’Brien. However, several Democrats criticized the incident as childish and unacceptable. During the interview, Senator Bernie Sanders, the committee chairman, had to intervene and remind Mullin of his position as a United States senator. The interview can be viewed on the Fox News website.
