FBI Director Christopher Wray corrected Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene during a hearing when she mistakenly suggested that he works for the Department of Homeland Security. Greene, a lawmaker from Georgia, questioned Wray about a pro-Palestine rally at the U.S. Capitol last month, arguing that it constituted an insurrection. She presented a poster with a text message from a lawyer for the Southern Poverty Law Center, claiming it showed the group’s involvement in the protest. Greene asked Wray if he saw reports of the conversation on her Twitter account, to which he replied that he didn’t use the platform much. In response, Greene expressed disbelief, stating that the Department of Homeland Security, in collaboration with other offices, had censored many Americans, including herself. Wray flatly responded, “I’m not part of the Department of Homeland Security.”
