Dustin Moskovitz, the co-founder of Facebook and CEO of Asana, has called for Elon Musk to resign after Musk agreed with an anti-Semitic post on Twitter. The controversy began when a user on Twitter called for an end to anti-Semitism, to which another user responded with an anti-Semitic comment, claiming that Jewish communities promote hatred against white people. Musk responded to this comment by saying, “You have said the actual truth.” This response received swift backlash, with Tesla investor Ross Gerber stating that he plans to replace his Model Y with a Rivian due to Musk’s comment. Others, such as Wavelength co-founder Marc Bodnick and CNN anchor Jake Tapper, criticized Musk for promoting anti-Semitism. In addition, Musk took digs at the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in a series of posts on Twitter. Musk previously threatened to sue the ADL after they reported a rise in hate speech on Twitter since Musk’s takeover. ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt responded to Musk’s comments, stating that it is dangerous to validate and promote anti-Semitic theories. This is not the first time Moskovitz has criticized Musk, as he previously referred to Tesla and SpaceX as “scams.” The ADL has reported a nearly 400% increase in anti-Semitic incidents in the US since Hamas launched terrorist attacks on Israel in October.
