Four individuals were apprehended by the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina following a car crash, bringing an end to an intense manhunt in the area. The pursuit began when the driver of an SUV led law enforcement on a chase, ultimately resulting in the vehicle crashing on Buck Hill Road near Lake Wateree. All four occupants of the SUV fled the scene and ran into the nearby woods. However, as of 1:35 p.m., the sheriff’s office confirmed that all four individuals had been captured. The search operation involved a significant presence of law enforcement officers, including deputies, members of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division’s helicopter was also deployed, along with police dogs and a drone. Residents in the area were advised to secure their homes and vehicles and remain indoors during the search. The pursuit initially began due to the SUV occupants being wanted for multiple property crimes across several counties. The identities of the individuals apprehended have not been disclosed, and the charges they will face remain unknown. The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided as the story develops.
